Last fall, I gave up my car for a bus pass. I try to read a book a week on the bus but mostly I just avoid eye contact with other passengers.

Still Here!

My, my. Has it been over a week since I last posted? Eek. Apologies, my friends! Please say you'll have me back? I've been swamped with side projects, many wedding related. I'm thrilled to report that our photographer, DJ, caterer and makeup for the day are all set. More details to come soon.

I finished The Conquest yesterday morning. Sigh. Books like The Conquest always get me so worked up. Murray's main character, Sara, had me screaming. So many foolish choices, including crashing her ex BF's engagement party. Classy. But of course, stirring up such emotion indicates just how darn engaging the writing is.

So I'm due to start a new book. Any suggestions? Front runners include: Reading Lolita in Tehran, American Wife and The Coral Thief. Side note: Fashionable Ro called me out the other day while we were perusing the romance novel stacks at Barnes and Noble. That "romance novel about ultimate fighters" I refer to in my "about me" section is Lori Foster's Hard to Handle. I suppose I should get around to that one.

And because no post is complete without pix or fun videos, here's a hint about where my night is headed.

Is that the same photographer you had posted about a while ago? Her work is gorgeous and I can't wait to see what she takes for your wedding day!

I have no idea what I'd recommend to you, since my literary diet has simpered down lately. You always seem to pick such interesting books, though! The Coral Thief sounds intriguing. Mystery, suspense, and romance? And all set in 1800s Paris? Ding ding ding! I like!

Amy- Yep, she's the same photog! I'm beyond excited AND we have our engagement session pics next month! Coral Thief does sound so amazing. I think it's definitely the one for next time.

Diane- Oh yes, I got engaged a few weeks back. Thanks for the well wishes! :) And of course, I had to get all giddy with it by posting:
