I wasn't sure what bus drivers would have to say about the mangled mess so I packed some extra dough and hoped for the best. Right after I snapped the above pic, a bus pulled up. I hopped on and...Bus Driver: Good Morning Miss.
Me (holding out wretched excuse for a pass): Morning, um hey. My pass went through the washer and, well.
Bus Driver (chuckling): Go ahead.
Happily, the rest of the day went pretty similar. Let's hope the pass survives September's last days.

That's pretty funny in an "I can relate" way. I just washed my son's billfold, last week, because I was in such a hurry to get his wet things washed after a swim meet. He lost the cards that say he's qualified in lifesaving and rescue or whatever. I got a royal chewing-out and then when he calmed down I suggested that he just ask the pool manager how to go about getting replacements. She said she'd request them, no biggie.
I'm watching pockets a little more carefully, this week, though. :)
Hahaha! Oh, the damage laundry can wreak to forgotten things crammed in pockets... I bet the bus drivers have seen weirder things that happen to passes! Can you imagine? "Hello, my friend set half of my pass on fire. But here's the surviving half. May I board the bus?"
Wow! Thats alright though, because I have a habit of washing my cellphone in the laundry..yeah, no kidding! Well, technically I've only washed mine once, but I've washed my fiance's TWICE! lmao. Well, I learned from the first time to remove my cellphone from my back pocket..but he obviously didn't learn the first time cause he still did it. It's been at least a year since he's done it that second time...lets hope he doesn't do it again!

If you are using a pass, why not get a Tap Card? It should be able to withstand a washing or few.
Mattapoisett in LA- Thanks for stopping by! My company pays for either our parking in our building or bus passes. At this point, they've not opted to go TAP and have kept it old school by keeping with the paper passes. Not that I'm complaining--I've heard about LOTS of Tap issues--it's just I've got to watch my pockets closer! :)
