Last fall, I gave up my car for a bus pass. I try to read a book a week on the bus but mostly I just avoid eye contact with other passengers.

No Biggie Smalls

So, I sorta fell off the Booking Through Thursday wagon. Oopsies. Here's this week's prompt:

What’s the biggest book you’ve read recently? (Feel free to think “big” as size, or as popularity, or in any other way you care to interpret.)

This one is a no brainer. Infinite Jest. Huge (1079 pages) and for reasons unknown to me, hugely popular. When a friend at work noticed Woman Hollering Creek on my desk a few weeks back, she laughed and asked "Where's your tome?"

What about you, my lovelies? What biggie books have you read recently?

I haven't had the patience for any really long books lately.

I have had Infinite Jest for so long and have picked it up so many times just to put it back down after the first 100 pages or so. I am hoping to find the time to devote to this one someday!

Does the Twilight saga count? I read all four books in about two weeks. I still can't believe I read over 1,500 pages of a vampire love story!

Carol- I'm totally running out of patience for Infinite Jest. ;)

Christine- I took a break from the book last month and I'm convinced that's the way to go. Read it for a bit, and then switch it up with another (easier!) book and then return later.

Denise- Of course Twilight counts! I'm bummed that I wasn't blogging while reading the saga.

Well, I read all 3 Lord of the Rings books once a year. That's gotta count. Other than that, most of my books fall in the "typical book length" category. :)
