Later in the afternoon, I met up Fashionable Ro for some wedding window shopping at South Coast Plaza and Irvine Spectrum. Can I tell you how thrilled I was to offer to pick her up for a change? Since I ditched the car last year, Ro has graciously driven every single time we see each other. Sometimes she even picks me up from LA to hang out in OC. Such a gal!
We saw a few bits of loveliness for possible bridesmaids dresses. Thoughts? I'd especially love to hear what L's Bells (aka BFF Lauren) has to say! I'm hoping that if we pick either of these frocks, they'll go on sale well before the big day. I am all about saving dough on this shin dig.
Ro and I concluded our shopping adventures in the best possible way. Under the lights of the Spectrum ferris wheel with treats from Golden Spoon.
Getting behind the wheel again was...awesome. After I picked up the rental on Thursday, I was giddy driving home. Picking my route, setting the radio stations, heading to the grocery store just because. Oh, what fun. It made me really pine for having my own wheels again. Sigh. And! Rather than an Aveo, the rental was an adorable 4-door Yaris.
Gas snake not included, happily. One huge thing I forgot about driving: the same 5 songs are played over and over and over again. I heard "Hotel Room Service" by Pit Bull about 3 million times over the course of 3 days. Also, what the heck is an "ice-cream paint job?" Um, maybe I don't want to know...

When was the last time you'd driven? I remember I was away from my car for about 6 months and was so happy to get behind the wheel again. It's like reuniting with an old friend!

Oh hooray! I'm glad everyone likes my dress picks! I think the one that doesn't get selected as a bridesmaids outfit will make it to my closet. ;)
amy kelinda: The last time I drove was the beginning of July. But the last time I drove without passengers in the car was...gosh, last fall! Wow, didn't realize it had been so long!
