Last fall, I gave up my car for a bus pass. I try to read a book a week on the bus but mostly I just avoid eye contact with other passengers.

Los Feliz Saturdays vol. 11

From wikipedia: In aesthetics, the sublime (from the Latin sublimis ([looking up from] under the lintel, high, lofty, elevated, exalted) is the quality of greatness or vast magnitude, whether physical, moral, intellectual, metaphysical, aesthetic, spiritual or artistic. The term especially refers to a greatness with which nothing else can be compared and which is beyond all possibility of calculation, measurement or imitation.

I hope you're staying safe! Those California wildfires are always terrifying... I can't imagine what it must be like to see those huge smoke plumes. This may be an odd question, but can you SMELL the fires from where you are?

Thankfully, the fires are pretty far from us. We can totally smell the fires. Sometimes it's stronger than others but it's a very eerie feeling indeed!

Hey Rosemary - thanks for mentioning my blog. You must get a lot of visitors because I see that "East of West LA" has gotten many visitors from here. Thanks again.
