In My Opinionation

For the sixth grade class picture, I dressed up in a floral empire dress and pointy jeweled flats--worn with socks, I'm sure. The crowning glory of this ensemble, however, was my hat. A faded denim bucket beauty with a Gerbera daisy just above the rim, which cruelly, school administrators forced me to remove due to a strict no hat policy. Alas. My fashion inspiration?


Yup, that's right. Blossom portrayed by the fantastic Mayim Bialik. I love love love that show. Do you remember the episode where Blossom imagined she was all fancy and on tour like Madonna? Epic.

Anywho. Imagine my surprise, two years ago (and new to the office) to find out that a coworker is one of Mayim's closest friends. What?! Hold the iphone. Fortunately, this coworker is a pal and was not weirded out by my Blossom love. And, how sweet is this--for my 25th bday, she had Mayim send me a signed headshot. Precious, no? It's displayed rather prominently at my desk--meant to snap a pic before I left the office but forgot. I promise to post it ASAP, though.

So then. When this pal whispered a few months back about the possibility of Mayim going on What Not to Wear, I flipped! And of course begged for an invite to the reveal party. Happily, she obliged and a little over a month ago, the BF and I ventured over the hill to the charming Ca' Del Sol in Toula Lake for the reveal party's taping! Holy moly. We enjoyed yummy (free!) drinks and tasty (free!) appetizers until. THE REVEAL! I don't want to give away too much but Mayim looked smokin'.


Be sure to watch tonight! You might be able to catch a glimpse of me and the BF in the background shots. I was wearing a blue/black color block dress and the BF wore...oh, who gives a Six! It's all about Blossom!
